In our sessions people laugh... a lot.
We run weekly: refugee, 55+ and recovery sessions for free. We also run open sessions for anyone to join. Help us open up access to improvisation for more humans... help us keep our community support sessions free at the point of use (an ImprovNHS if you will), so more humans can access the benefits of Improv. and all of its lovely social and health related brilliance. We run sessions for refugees and asylum seekers, humans in recovery from addiction, older humans, younger humans, humans with diabilities, humans in need of mental health support EVERY WEEK. As an artform improvisation is the most accessible: EVERY human is an expert in improvising their own lives. With very little training anyone can practice, and perform if they choose to, and gain the soft life skills that are so transferrable to every walk of life. #improvNHS #monkeyphilosophy |
We don't think availability to cash should be a barrier to our sessions. The more we have as a fund on here, the more we can do in the real world.
Back us on Ko-Fi and our sessions can be free at the point of use. An ImprovNHS if you will... |
Key to these sessions are the opportunity to put the skills into practice at one of our Impro Leagues, coming soon to Hebden and Leeds this year.
They will run through the year with the weekly sessions to support anyone who wants to learn, especially those from marginalised communities such as refugees, over 55s, LGBTQ+, people with disabilities, people who are accessing recovery support from substance abuse, ex-offenders, young people… the list can go on.
Dates will be coming soon...
